Get a Tron game on Xbox One for free

The Tron movie franchise seems to be pretty much dead, after a planned third film crashed and burned before production could even start. Still it's pretty fitting that the legacy can continue in digital form.

Tron Run/r is the latest game set in this universe and it has been out for awhile on different systems, including a weird early access version on Steam. Now it has landed on Xbox One and you can even get a good taste of it for free. It was originally billed as a kind of endless runner but the game itself seems to have a little more to it, with extra ways to control your character, combat and even lightcycles to ride.

The powers that be haven't done a great job to date of explaining exactly what it is, and early reviews on Steam have been extremely mixed - mostly down to the small amount of content. Hopefully this release will help clear up those issues and if you like the free taster you can buy the main game for around €20. Pay a little more to get all the upcoming DLC, though you'll want to really make sure it's worth playing first.
