Kickstarter picks up music subscription service Drip

Kickstarter has acquired music subscription service Drip, which caters for independent labels.

The service was set to shut down on March 18th, but Kickstarter acted at the last minute, picking up the company to ensure that the service survives. It will be interesting to see what Kickstarter has in store for the service; it marks Kickstarter's first acquisition.

Kickstarter says that Drip will continue to operate and that little will change initially.
