Huge Gears of War 4 open beta coming in April

Gears of War 4 isn't set for release until the end of the year but there's an early taste of the action on the way

The Gears of War series has been back in the news recently for a gorgeous remaster of the original Xbox hit on Xbox One and PC, and that's set to keep the series in the minds of the public as the marketing ramps up for an all new entry due later in 2016.

Gears of War 4 is currently set to arrive before Christmas and will include new playable characters in a story set 25 years after GoW3. That's still a good bit away, but it looks like we'll be getting a taste a whole lot sooner. April will see the arrival of a beta for the multiplayer aspect of Gears of War 4 and there will be multiple ways to get in.
