I’M in an artist’s studio in Dublin city centre on a Wednesday evening.

It’s a small space looking out over the Liffey and as people outside are busy finishing their day and going home, I’m sitting in a chair opposite a 30-year-old woman from Nepal.

At an event called The Parli, there is a small but very interested audience who have come to hear about the woman’s life and the fallout from the recent earthquakes in her country.
