Cork artist features in exhibition

OUGHT just this year The Friends of the Model by the Cork artist Harry Jones Thaddeus (1860-1929) is on display in the Masterpieces from the Collection exhibition now on at the National Gallery of Ireland.

This special presentation draws on some of the finest works in the collection from the early Renaissance through to the mid 20th century. Highlights from the Irish collection include works by Jones Thaddeus, James Barry, Hugh Douglas Hamilton, William Orpen, John Lavery, and Jack B Yeats.

The exhibition is in the Beit Wing and the Millennium Wing (rooms 1-10) and will continue indefinitely. The major refurbishing underway at the Dargan and Milltown wings of the National Gallery is continuing.
