THIS year there may be less of the ‘buy now, pay later’ approach to Christmas shopping. But doing things on a pre-planned budget doesn’t mean skimping on style.

Instead, it will force you to think carefully about what to buy, and that often results in choosing a gift the recipient will actually like and won’t send to the car boot sale in the spring or worse still, deposit in the land-fill.
