The authors use this blog to give undiscovered designers a chance to shine. Anyone can submit their ideas, add an event, or just use to get inspiration. I love the lamp made of leather, Oak and Birch.

This site is a fabulous one to browse though. It shows you before and afters of houses — you wouldn’t believe some are the same building. They remodel ordinary-looking average Joe houses and transform them into uber-contemporary, high-end masterpieces The business was started by George and Yolande Hess, who after doing up their own gaff now provide the ‘unique architectural design service’.

Swiss Miss

Land on this page and you’re greeting by an image of a hot tub Jacuzzi boat. The Swiss know how to relax in style. This is a design blog and studio run by Tina Roth Eisenberg. There’s the bizarre and the beautiful on here, from pixel rulers to animal clothes hangers. Oh, and Elsa, the Raclette Machine. It’s for traditional Swiss Raclette cheese. Obviously.
