Ask the Designer: Polished Porcelain will reflect light
For an L-shaped hall where light is an issue, I’d favour Polished Porcelain floor tiles. Polished Porcelain comes in many sizes, colours and effects so there’s bound to be one to suit. It’s light reflective to give your hallway a modern, airy feel. It’s also available nano presealed (non-slip) making it a dream to clean. There are lots of laying possibilities. Large square tiles laid diagonally will give the illusion of a wider space, but can be a little wasteful. Alternatively, rectangular tiles look great in a brick formation.
My friend has Turkish Travertine in her hallway. What do you think of it?
