Keen interest expected for €1m farm by the sea in East Cork

An 80-acre farm in the intensively farmed area of East Cork is new to the market with CCM Property Network.

As Aoife Dempsey of CCM’s Midleton office explains, this is a holding of high quality in the main:

“There are 60 acres of this land which are excellent,” says Aoife. “They’re top quality. Then there are 20 acres that are down by the sea and are rough grazing.”

The coastal location at Finure (5 minutes from Whitegate and 20 minutes from Midleton) of the farm ensures beautiful sea views. The land is all in one block, with clear divisions with mature hedgerow boundaries.

The property has a fully operational farmyard. Water and electricity are connected and there are several farm buildings at the owner’s disposal. These include cattle handling facilities, slatted shed and several other outbuildings.

“The 60 acres are in tillage right now,” says Aoife, “but it’s land that can be put to any use, of course.”

The farm has very good access points and road frontage. It’s quite a rare package, all told, so there should be a good deal of interest in it over the coming weeks.

“It’s only just on the market yet,” says Aoife, “but we expect the interest to be strong.”

At a price guide of €1,000,000 (€12,500/acre), it certainly should attract bids soon.
