The farm is on the main Killarney-Tralee road.

A 36-acre farm on the main road Killarney-Tralee road (N22) is new to the market with Killarney-based auctioneer Tom Spillane.

The property has some sections of lower quality but the majority is highly desirable acreage in a highly desirable area.

“This land parcel is approximately 9km from Killarney,” says Mr Spillane. “It’s on the main road, in a place known as Brennan’s Glen. There are 36 acres in total and, for people that know the area, there is a glen and a ridge; there are approximately 10 acres of this property contained in the ridge, which is steep and high — anyone who travels between Tralee and Killarney will see it.

“There’s a plateau at the top of the ridge and there are approximately 26 acres there of good-quality free-draining ground — all in grass and in excellent condition.

“Main access is off the Coolick road, which is road to the north of the holding and it comes down through another farm.”

There isn’t any residence on the land and neither are there outbuildings with the farm, which is unsurprisingly creating a stir in the market locally.

“Its proximity to Killarney, as well as the existence of other farming enterprises in the locality will make it a very attractive holding… there is good interest — a number of people have walked it. We haven’t had an offer to date, but we do anticipate positive outcome.”

The guide of €432,000 (€12,000/acre) is a fair reflection overall of the quality of this conveniently-located holding.
