A record 21 Irish companies in the agritech and agricultural machinery sectors will exhibit at LAMMA 2026.
Enterprise Ireland announced the record number of Irish client companies attending the agricultural show this week. LAMMA is the UK's leading agricultural machinery, equipment and technology show, attracting over 40,000 visitors each year, taking place at the NEC Birmingham on January 14-15, 2026.
According to Enterprise Ireland, Irish agricultural machinery and agritech solutions continue to see strong demand in the UK market, driven by their reputation for durability and innovation.
Products in high demand include advanced balers and wrappers, slurry spreading and manure management systems, livestock handling and feeding equipment, grassland management technologies and farm management software, including artificial intelligence (AI) powered solutions that enhance animal welfare, compliance and overall farm efficiency.
Highlighting the innovation and excellence of Irish companies, Herdwatch secured a prestigious Silver award at the LAMMA 2026 Innovation Awards in the Digital Technology Innovation of the Year category for their AI app Herdi.
The award celebrates a cutting-edge digital solution that transforms on-farm decision-making, streamlines operations, and drives smarter, data-led performance across the agricultural industry.
Herdi is an AI-powered assistant integrated into the Herdwatch app and used on over 22,000 dairy, beef and sheep farms. The app provides guidance on animal health, compliance, breeding and pasture management by combining farm records with external data such as weather and market prices alongside specialist AI modules.
Herdi utilises existing Herdwatch data from sensors, parlour software and statutory databases so as not to duplicate data. The app aims to turn complex data into actionable insights, saving time, reducing errors and enabling more efficient farm management.
Irish agriculture machinery company, McHale, secured two silver awards at the LAMMA 2026 Innovation Awards.
The company won silver in the âGrassland Innovation of the Yearâ category for its TerraDrive Axle â a hydraulic drive system available as an option on McHale Fusion 4 Plus balers that provides enhanced traction in soft, wet or hilly conditions, reducing strain on the tractor and improving performance in unpredictable weather.
McHale also received silver in the âBritish and Irish Manufacturer of the Yearâ category, recognising its ongoing commitment to engineering excellence, product innovation, global export growth, sustainability, and support for rural employment.
Enterprise Ireland's Senior Market Advisor for Agriculture in the UK, Jane Lycett, said: âWe are delighted to support this strong contingent of 21 innovative Irish companies at LAMMA 2026. The UK remains a key market for Irish agri-machinery and agritech, with the UK agricultural machinery sector valued at approximately ÂŁ2.5 billion annually.
"Backed by a dynamic Irish farm machinery industry, our clients' reliable, high-performance solutions are highly valued by UK farmers facing similar climatic and operational challenges.âÂ
