Limerick native elected to Dairygold board of directors

Gerald Kirby, a dairy farmer from Ballyneety, Co Limerick, is the newly appointed board member for Dairygold.
Mr Kirby will assume his position on Dairygold’s board of directors on January 1, 2026, following a general committee board election, which took place in Springfort Hall Hotel, Mallow, Co Cork, on December 15.
Mr Kirby will replace his predecessor, Gerard O’Dwyer, who has completed his maximum permitted consecutive service on the Dairygold board.
Mr Kirby, who represents the Drombanna electoral group, was elected to the Limerick regional committee in 2023, and has been a member of the general committee since January 2025.
Mr Kirby is in a farming partnership with his wife, Sinéad, and his two sons, Ronan and Alan.
