Interest was very strong in the run-up to the auction date, according to auctioneer David Quinn of Gorey-based Quinn Property, who noted that a derelict house on the property heightened interest in the overall holding.

Last featured in this section on August 14 last, a 233-acre Wexford farm sold at auction for significantly above the price guide.

Located at Ballyrory, 10km from Gorey, the farm went under the hammer at the Ashdown Park Hotel in Gorey on Friday, September 19, with a simultaneous online auction.
