Processors are maintaining the markets continue to be 'quiet enough', and currently do not justify higher prices to the suppliers
Factories paying up to 820c/kg for lambs despite 'quiet' trade

Into the second half of August, entries at the live sales are building up sharply week on week.

The lamb prices at the factories are unchanged this week, with larger numbers coming out to the live sales, and fresh interest in the heavier lambs from export buyers adding some impetus to the trade.

Base quotes for the lambs at the factories remain at 780c/kg plus the quality bonus worth up to 20c/kg, with some offering an increase to 22kg on the cut-off weight as a deal incentive for the good lambs and larger numbers.
