Weekly kill rises but remains below 2024 levels

Last week's supply of 25,509 head included 11,249 steers, 7,218 heifers, 4,645 cows and 1,886 young bulls.

The factory beef prices are continuing steady this week at unchanged prices overall, while the processors adapt their operations to the lower weekly intake of cattle.

There was a slight increase of 1,200 head to 25,509 head, the highest weekly intake in two months, but down by almost 6,500 head on the same week in 2024.
