€184m in ANC payments for farmers
The Department of Agriculture said that payments will be visible in farmers' bank accounts in the coming days, the department will continue to process all remaining cases for payment as they meet scheme criteria.
Advance payments totaling over €184m have issued to 87,149 farmers under the Areas of Natural Constraints (ANC) scheme.
According to Agriculture Minister Charlie McConalogue, this is the “highest level of advance payments to the most farmers ever achieved for the ANC”.
