Dairy leaders have warned processors an increase in milk prices is urgently needed as cash flow pressure is risking farmers quitting the sector

Speaking in advance of the July milk price announcements, Irish Creamery Milk Suppliers Association Dairy Committee Chairperson Noel Murphy said: "Milk purchasers and Co-ops are obliged to keep up with current market movements, and this should result in an increase across the board for July milk, with 45cpl very achievable."
