Farmers are urging Agriculture Minister Charlie McConalogue to convene a meeting of leaders and experts from across farming as "confidence and morale" in the sector is "collapsing".

The Irish Creamery Milk Suppliers Association president Denis Drennan said a "farm sector summit" is needed as all sectors continue to struggle.
