The past winter and spring may be a distant memory for some, but the weather was far from forgettable for farmers. We still seem to have a lag effect on grass growth, with growth still below where we would like it to be, and grass quality is also a struggle.

Hopefully, everyone has their first-cut silage in by now, and a second getting ready to be cut. The breeding season is coming to an end in spring calving systems, and fingers are crossed for good fertility performance after a tough spring.
