Farmers rated highest in Europe for trust

Although 65% trust farmers, only 50% trust retailers, 48% trust restaurants and caterers, 46% trust manufacturers, and 45% trust national and EU authorities.

Farmers are the most trusted people in the food chain, according to an annual survey of nearly 20,000 Europeans.

Authorities (government agencies at national and EU level) are the least trusted.
