'Sell hard' — Beef factories starting to get hungry for stock
They want to get the cattle this week and they are willing to pay the extra to get them if they have to," explained one finisher.
There is more than a hint around the beef trade at the factories this week that tightening supplies has commenced to put some pressure on the processors to source sufficient intake to fill the orders on their books.
It is very welcome news to the ears of the producers whose returns from the factories for supplies have been crushed over the past month to the point of advising the processors that 'enough is enough' of their price cutting.
