The National Sheep Welfare Scheme, which is running in addition to the multi-annual Sheep Improvement Scheme, has a budget of €15m in 2024.

17,167 farmers have applied for the new National Sheep Welfare Scheme up to the recent closing date.

The scheme will remain open for late applications up to June 15, 2024.
