Revenue eases position on unregistered farmer Vat refunds
Drafting gates, hydraulic scrapers, and new build milking parlours are in, but heat and health monitoring systems, and slurry bags remain excluded.
After a meeting with the Revenue Commissioners, IFA has indicated that farmers who aren’t registered for Vat can reclaim the tax on items such as drafting gates, hydraulic scrapers, and new build milking parlours, but Vat refunds are not applicable on heat and health monitoring systems or slurry bags.
In recent months, farmers had found that some items for which they had previously received Vat refunds were no longer eligible, said IFA.
