Lamb prices increase a further 10c/kg

The intake at the factories for the first weeks of 2024 has been down on the same period in 2023.

Tighter supplies of lambs at the factories have put pressure on the processors to get sufficient numbers and turn good for breeders, with a further 10c/kg being added to the prices for the week.

The factory quotes for the week have increased to the range of 655-680c/kg plus the quality bonus, adding a further 10-20c/kg to the price for qualifying lots.
