Teens' agscience projects wow BT Young Scientist judges

The Teagasc Award presented by Assistant Director of Research Declan Troy to Abigail O'Brien Murray, Erica O'Brien Murray and Olivia O'Shea, Loreto Secondary School Balbriggan Dublin for the project 'Let’s Save the Common Ash: A Continued Study' in the Biological & Ecological Category.

Agscience projects were among those to catch judges eyes for the big prices at this year's BT Young Scientist & Technology Exhibition.

Three students from Loreto Secondary School Balbriggan also impressed judges this year, picking up both the prestigious “Best Group Project” award, and the esteemed “Teagasc Special Award” for their outstanding scientific achievements.
