Foresters urged to be vigilant after invasive bark beetle spotted in Ireland

Spruce bark beetles have been devasting the European forestry sector.

Foresters countrywide have been alerted to the finding of the first non-native bark beetle in Ireland.

The discovery of the monetary pine bark beetle in Co Clare was recently confirmed by the Department of Agriculture, Food and Marine.
