Sixty volunteers hand-harvesting an acre of beetroot over the course of four hours have saved a year's worth of Joe's Farm Crisps' crop this past weekend.

Sandra and Joe Burns of Joe's Farm Crisps in Killeagh, East Cork, last Friday appealed on social media for people to help them in harvesting their one-acre crop, after several unsuccessful attempts to do so using machinery following very difficult weather conditions in the area.
