0.5cpl 'Better Future' payment for Lakeland suppliers

Lakeland Dairies chief executive Colin Kelly; Niall Matthews, Lakeland Dairies chairman; and Monaghan footballer; and Lakeland Dairies supplier Darren Hughes on the Hughes’ family farm in Co Monaghan launching the co-op’s Sustainability Incentive Payment.

Lakeland Dairies will pay an extra 0.5cpl for suppliers who meet a series of actions set out in its new farm sustainability strategy.

The strategy, which is entitled Farming for a Better Future, focuses on rewarding Lakeland Dairies’ 3,200 farm families for taking positive actions on their farms through a new three-year Sustainability Incentive Payment, which will run from 2024 to 2026.
