It’s going to be a long winter this year as virtually every herd has had to house two to three weeks earlier than they normally would. Ground conditions have made it virtually impossible to extend the grazing season any longer, despite many farms having a lot of grass.
As we enter November and dairy herds are now indoors, there are four main nutrition building blocks.
