Plenty of interest in getting more of the better quality lambs

Suppliers are reporting that in general 620-630 cents/kg is readily being paid for lambs this week, while those with larger numbers to offer, and especially for the better quality, well-finished lambs 630-640 cents/kg is being paid. Picture: Denis Boyle

The overall trade for lambs at the factories varies from slightly easier to steady, depending on the requirements for supplies at the particular location.

The prices on offer from the plants are ranging from slightly under 600 cents/kg to 620 cents/kg with the bonus to be added for quality, ranging 10-20 cents/kg as applicable at the processors.
