Processors paying 635 cents/kg in direct deals

The number of lambs coming out is showing a slight increase, but concern over the finish on lambs this season appears to be on the increase.
Processors paying 635 cents/kg in direct deals

At the live sales at the marts, the lambs continue to meet a firm trade at €90-€100 over this week with some very well finished worth a shade more.

It is more of the same for the suppliers of lambs to the factories for this week with prices holding stable at unchanged rates against some uncertainty on the trade forward.

Most of the factories are offering the same base price as last week at 600-610 cents/kg plus the usual bonus payments for quality worth 10-20 cents/kg, as applicable on the lambs supplied to the individual factory.
