EU negotiators clinched a deal on the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) on Friday which will reform its huge farming subsidy programme, aiming to make it greener and support smaller farms.

CAP, worth around a third of the EU's 2021-2027 budget, will spend €387bn ($474 billion) on payments to farmers and support for rural development.
