January 15 deadline to apply for TAMS 2 LESS grant aid

LESS is  mandatory for nitrates derogation farms 

For farmers seeking grant aid for low emissions slurry equipment, the closing date for tranche 20 of the TAMS scheme is next week, on January 15.

LESS (low slurry spreading) technology has become ever prevalent in recent years, with its inclusion in schemes such as GLAS and TAMS, says Teagasc Walsh Scholar Emer Keane.

Now LESS has been made mandatory for use in farms under nitrates derogation from January 2021.
