Taoiseach Micheál Martin and Boris Johnson greet each other at Hillsborough Castle. The UK Prime Minister's government can dress up a no-deal Brexit as progress by not levying tariffs on food imports. It would be in fact the only option for a large net food importer.

Regardless of how Brexit pans out, it will be sold as a great success by the politicians who brought it about.

Even if it looks like a disaster, they will find a way to make it look good.
