Pig processors offer €1.84 to €1.88/kg with €1.10 per kg deadweight

All the main Irish pig processors cut their price for this week by another 4c/kg, quoting from €1.84 to €1.88/kg, with €1.10 per kg deadweight on offer for sows.

As with other farm products, consumer demand has switched to retail from foodservice, resulting in a demand surge for liquid milk and minced beef, for example (partly due to panic buying).
