Comment: Beef farmers urged to join together and help themselves

In Spain, five regionally organised beef farmer-owned producer organisations, each with their individual brand, work with six processors/traders in the Provacuno organisation, which handles 85% of Spain’s beef (542,000 tonnes annually, comparable to Ireland’s annual beef production).
