80% of farm growth from strategic planning

Former CEO Kerry Group Denis Brosnan was quoted at Tuesday’s Teagasc Moorepark dairy open day: “If you are looking to grow your business, 80% of the growth will come from your strategic planning and 20% from the operational performance.”

Farmers at the event were advised not to get bogged down in day-to-day running of the farm, and to take the time for longer-term strategic planning.
