In the never-ending battle against crop pests, the rise of EU-37 is worrying the agricultural industry.

EU-37 is a new form of Phytophthora infestans, the fungus which was the major culprit in potato famines throughout Europe in the 19th century, most notably in Ireland in the 1840s.
