The trade for beef animals at the factories has remained very firm this week with the demand for stock by the processors adding up to a further slight hardening in the returns to producers.

The trade for beef animals at the factories has remained very firm this week with the demand for stock by the processors adding up to a further slight hardening in the returns to producers.

While the price trend remains very positive and slightly upwards for most categories of stock, producers will notice, with some concerns for the future, the cut in prices for the cull cows, where up to 10 cents/kg has been shaved off the quotes for this week.
