Rabobank analysts in the US predict the EU may have to move some of its 350,000 tonnes of intervention skim milk powder stocks into humanitarian aid and animal feed.

They point out that almost 22,000t of the powder went into storage more than 18 months ago, and depressed markets are now forcing member states to start selling into intervention again.
