Cormac MacConnell: Most successful of all the Brylcreem Boys

He was a McManus, from the next parish to my home parish in the North, when I was growing up.

He was nicknamed “The Spinner”, because he always had great stories to regale his world with, most of them from his time spent in England after the Second World War, when a lot of young men from Ireland emigrated for work.
