Recent EU border checks have detected several cases of serious salmonella bacterial contamination in poultry shipments from Brazil.

Over the past two weeks, authorities in Slovakia, Spain, the UK, Czech Republic, and the Netherlands have detected the dangerous food poisoning bacteria in frozen chicken breasts.

It was also found in the Netherlands in frozen turkey medallions from Brazil.
