Advice for beef farmers: Set goals for young animals

Most beef-bred weanlings will head to grass soon, if they have not already done so.

Management decisions around young stock on grass should be determined by their current weight, sex, target market, and grass availability/quality.

Set goals for each group now, and aim to review their performance regularly.
