Only €60,000 of €31.4m TAMS allocation spent
An online system for payment claim applications was made available in July for farmers to submit payment claims as soon as their approved works have been completed, and all Scheme requirements have been met, said Agriculture Minister Michael Creed last week.
“However, we have not been overwhelmed by the numbers applying to have payments issued. In fact, only over 100 applicants have submitted online applications for payment, and only 4,000 approvals have issued,” said Mr Creed.
