EU agri-trade surplus €16bn... and growing

EU agri-food exports for the year to June totalled just over €129 billion, 2.1% ahead compared to 2014-2015.

Annual agri-food imports rose by 3.5% to €113bn in 2015-2016.

The €16bn agri-food annual trade surplus could be on the rise, because export figures for June of €10.9bn were the highest on record for the month, lifting the monthly net trade surplus to €1.39bn, compared to €870m in June, 2015.
