EU income support available to farmers up to including 2019 will be mapped out for them in Definitive Statements of Basic Payment Scheme (BPS) Entitlements which they will shortly receive.

Agriculture Minister Michael Creed said the statements will provide clarity for farmers on the number and value of their Basic Payment Scheme entitlements from 2015 to 2019.

When the Basic Payment Scheme and Greening Payment replaced the Single Payment Scheme at the end of 2014, a new set of BPS entitlements were allocated to all eligible applicants, worth a total of more than €1bn.
