The National Farm Survey results from 2013 showed the average dairy farmer incurred costs, excluding depreciation, of over €121,094 in that year.

For the average tillage farmer surveyed, costs (excluding depreciation) amounted to €75,617. Beef farmers had a cost base of €37,992.
