Beef market report: Intake of young bulls edges closer to record

The total cattle intake last week was 33,800 head, down slightly from the previous week, but still well ahead of any weekly kill in 2015.
The supply of both steers and heifers is holding strong, and the intake of over 6,000 young bulls per week is edging closer to an all-time peak — all adding to pressures on beef cattle prices.
