Phil Hogan to address ICMSA on milk prices

The price paid to farmers for their milk supplies in the first year without quota restrictions and the likely outcome of the Paris global climate change conference will be among the issues to be discussed at the annual general meeting of the Irish Creamery Milk Suppliers Association in Limerick today.

European Union Agriculture Commissioner Phil Hogan, Agriculture Minister Simon Coveney and the ICMSA president John Comer will address the delegates and take part in a question and answer session.

The ICMSA said delegates will expect to hear Mr Hogan elaborate on the Commission’s tentative plans to reform the EU’s supply-chain from its current state of non-regulation of corporate retailers.
