430 cent/kg for heifers as shortage of cattle bites

The tightening cattle supply to factories is continuing to bring better prices for cattle farmers this week.

It may have taken longer than hoped for to get price movement in the right direction for finishers, but tighter numbers are eventually delivering improved returns from processors.

In general, they offer a base of 420 cents/kg for steers this week.
